The Smartvatten optical reader is a plug and play device that connects onto analogue and digital water meters and reads the clockface in real time. Although the main counter on a meter is in M3, the dials below depict decilitre consumption. Smartvatten’s AI – powered software utilises this information to covert the analogue readings into minute level digital data. Machine learning ensures that the software understands the building’s standard water consumption and a selection of over 50 algorithms ensures that any deviations from baseline consumption are recognised.

Smartvatten will provide water consumption data by the minute, giving you a 24/7 picture of how water is used in your building. Just simply log onto the website and view your data in real time. Your data will be displayed graphically, with customisable consumption reports to view and download. The high resolution of data enables sophisticated leak monitoring, with leak alerts issued categorised as high, medium and small events. Your consumption data is benchmarked against Smartvatten’s large database of building data, and graded to help you understand your building’s relative efficiency within its industry type.
