The Client
The Grove is part of the Ralph Trustees hotel group. It is famed for its luxury rooms and large estate.
The Grove often makes the news as a home to the Men’s England Football Team.
SaveMoneyCutCarbon is assisting The Grove in their environmental commitments.
We have installed a first phase of energy saving LED lighting across bedrooms and corridors, and we are trialling products for the second phase.
The Brief
Initially, SaveMoneyCutCarbon worked with The Grove hotel’s senior management team to select only those products which could provide both savings and quality.
It was of primary importance that LED solutions matched or exceeded the light output from original lighting plans. Following our consultations we delivered bespoke and detailed financial modelling for the project including return-on-investment data.
The Solution
Amongst the 3,000 light fittings we then installed in The Grove hotel were very warm EcoLED ZEP1 downlights which provide a comforting glow, fitting for The Grove’s position as a luxury establishment.
In addition we have installed EcoLED tubes which provide bright, white lighting for general purpose areas such as corridors.
Summary
- Our installation thus far stands to save The Grove over £38,000 per year.
- That’s a yearly saving of 318,674 kWh and 171 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions.
