The Client
The Athenaeum is part of the Ralph Trustees hotel group. It boasts a fantastic location in the heart of Mayfair, London.
In the past it was famed for its hospitality to Hollywood stars. Today it is particularly noted for its family friendly atmosphere.
The Brief
SaveMoneyCutCarbon is assisting The Athenaeum in modernising their lighting systems to suit their trendy, central London location; always mindful that our products do justice to quality interiors.
We have installed a first phase of LED lighting back of house, in the kitchen, and in corridors. We are now trialling products for a second phase of installations.
The Solution
In the first instance SaveMoneyCutCarbon worked with The Athenaeum’s senior management to listen carefully to the requirements of the partnership. Only then could we deliver an effective end-to-end solution.
After having recognised the requirement for equivalent or better lighting output, such as matching existing colour temperatures, we modelled detailed financial plans and a concise installation schedule.
To date we have installed EcoLED panels back of house and in the kitchen. Panels are particularly suitable for this environment with their consistent light and sleek appearance, laying flush with the ceiling.
Especially useful in the kitchen, panels are easily cleaned whereas tube fittings can collect dust.
Summary
- Our installation thus far stands to save The Athenaeum over £17,000 per year.
- That’s a yearly saving of 142,273 kWh and 76 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions.
