Overview
How does this kitchen tap help to reduce your water and energy bills?
The Zesis collection is part of hansgroheÂ’s EcoSmart range, where water flow is controlled by a flow restrictor, whilst an aerator in the tap mixes in air with water. This technology reduces water consumption by up to 60% without any compromise on the noticeable water pressure. Using less water means you are also heating less, so replacing your current tap with an EcoSmart version will also help you reduce your energy bill.
The Zesis collection also comes with CoolStart technology, which means hot water only flows when the lever is moved - whereas with non CoolStart taps, energy is immediately used when the handle is in the middle position.
How does this tap help to reduce your carbon footprint?
Using less water helps to save energy, because energy is needed to filter, heat and pump water to your home, so reducing your consumption also reduces your carbon footprint. Using less water also keeps more in our ecosystems, which helps to maintain biodiversity within wetlands.
Reducing your energy usage helps to reduce your carbon footprint, as it decreases the demand for fossil fuels and, in turn, lowers the levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
How does this tap help to reduce landfill?
This eco kitchen mixer tap has hansgroheÂ’s QuickClean flexible silicone nozzles, which help to prevent limescale build up. Limescale deposits and dirt are rubbed off instantly, keeping your tap in perfect working order even in hard water areas.
hansgrohe keep spare parts for their taps for 15 years after the product has been discontinued, so in the unlikely event that anything should go wrong you can repair your tap rather than replacing it, helping to reduce waste in landfill and in turn your carbon footprint.
