Only cold water flows when set to the middle position, in contrast to other mixers where continuous flow heaters or circulation pump start up immediately when in that position. It is not possible to move the lever to the right.
Hot water is added only by moving the lever to the left and the user can decide how high the temperature needs to be. This saves money by using less energy.
