Why Kind Bag?
Kind Bag are a UK-based company whose core goal is to reduce plastic pollution and accelerate the use of recycled materials in the fashion industry. They declare they are not “another polluting, weak or ugly” reusable bag, and instead focus on blending eco-friendly living with your style.
They’re incredibly practical as they are water resistant* to use with a small pouch attached on the inside to put the folded bag in, making them perfect for discreet on the go use, so you won’t lose it somewhere in your home. Plus the soft, silky fabric feels nicer, keeps them lightweight and doesn’t rustle like plastic bags do.
Sustainability
Did you know single plastic bags have the average life of only 15 minutes before being disposed of? And that plastic can take up to 1000 years to decompose in landfill?
This is why each Kind Bag is made using 100% recycled plastic bottles, thus rescuing them from being chucked into landfill and our oceans.
They chose recycled plastic because it’s actually deemed the most environmentally friendly option – a cotton tote bag would need 7,000 to 20,000 reuses to have a positive impact, whereas with a Kind Bag it’s only 2 or 3 times.
They’re also designed with longevity in mind. Each bag has wide handles for extra comfort, and can hold up to a whopping 20kg, which is about 3 times a plastic Bag for Life’s capacity, all because of its wide bottom – Kim K eat your heart out!
