SaveMoneyCutCarbon announces acquisition of Devitech – EV charge point installation and support specialist.
SaveMoneyCutCarbon, one of the UK’s leading platforms and service providers to help businesses who want to reduce their energy, water and carbon, announces today the acquisition of Devitech.
This comes days after SaveMoneyCutCarbon announced a new groundbreaking partnership with ABB to become a key sales solution and support provider for their EV chargers across the UK.
Devitech has built a strong reputation for its high level of customer satisfaction through its end-to-end service for the installation and ongoing support of EV chargers across the UK
The Devitech team support their own direct customers from holiday parks, hotels through to individual businesses and public sector clients, as well as providing a white label offering for EV manufacturers and managed service providers.
In July 2023, the UK government introduced new regulations aiming for rapid EV chargers to achieve 99% reliability ¹ “The reliability requirement is that the network of rapid charge points is, on average, reliable for 99% of the time during each calendar year.” However, electric vehicle drivers will know this is often not the case, this acquisition will further protect and derisk the installation and management of EV chargers for Devitech and SaveMoneyCutCarbon clients.
SaveMoneyCutCarbon has been named in the media as one the UK’s leading businesses to help organisations reduce energy, water and carbon.
The business uniquely can support organisations from a single online order, through to the advice, consultancy, financing and delivery of multimillion-pound projects. SaveMoneyCutCarbon delivers this breath of services through several “Tech Hubs” that can allow it to deliver both consultancy and delivery from a single source, across all the key technologies linked to reducing energy, water bills and Science Based Targets, ESG and NetZero targets.
When an organisation wants to reduce its carbon emissions, the transition to electric vehicles is often a quick win, so naturally this features highly in SaveMoneyCutCarbon’s portfolio of technologies and solutions and the Devitech acquisition will further support the growth of this hub.
The acquisition will see Devitech become part of the larger SaveMoneyCutCarbon business and will further strengthen and grow SaveMoneyCutCarbon’s existing EV Team to support its clients across all their AC and DC rapid charging needs from initial design, grid connections, through to installation, commissioning and ongoing support to achieve Government reliability targets.
In parallel Devitech will gain access to the direct partnerships that SaveMoneyCutCarbon already has with leading EV manufacturers like ABB strengthening further their client offering as well as now being able to provide their direct clients, a much wider offering to cover all their sustainability & NetZero needs.
Mark Sait, CEO of SaveMoneyCutCarbon, said
“This will see the dedicated, highly respected and skilled Devitech team join our business at a time of growth, driven by our clients needing to move from baselines and carbon calculations to actual delivery of projects to reduce their emission year or year and EV is a key part of this journey. The Devitech team have built their business from the ground up, so really understand what it takes to deliver a successful EV installation and through this have built a reputation for customer service and excellence, which fits perfectly with our ethos here at SaveMoneyCutCarbon.”
Graham Rowlands, Managing Director of Devitech added,
“After three years of growth, myself and the team we are very excited about becoming part of a bigger group, allowing us to offer a wider service to our clients and to have an increased focus on larger DC Rapid EVCP projects across the UK, helping us further grow the Devitech offering under the SaveMoneyCutCarbon group umbrella.”
Graham will lead the new larger EV business unit at SaveMoneyCutCarbon, bringing together a team of dedicated EV specialists, solution designers, financing, software, project management, installation, commissioning and post install support functions.
